A Poem by Scott Thomas Outlar

Howling into the Fade

She loved me like a laser

seeking the center…to erupt

Every lick of her tongue
tempted me closer
toward complete corruption

The spell of her passion
pulsed with a fever
that kept me lusting
for a sickness without cure

Remedies were few and far between
as she laced my dreams
with liquid poison/100% pure
and sure
to rot my guts with gasoline

I tried to scream
but her supple lips
muffled the sound/silencing
the moans
as I groaned
for release/which she brought at a price

Sold my soul
for one night
in her grasp/she clasped
tightly with her talons
and twisted/torturing
my madness out of hiding
until our laughter lost all meaning
